Inside Healing Girl Summer, we’re choosing rituals over routines and long-term healing over quick fixes. Here’s everything I’m keeping close this season – to nourish my mind, body, skin and spirit.
Summer’s here – and I’m not about to sacrifice my glow, health, or nervous system for jet lag, bloating, or a sketchy sleep schedule.
I’ve spent years figuring out how to feel balanced, calm, de-puffed, and radiant no matter where I am in the world. Whether I’m flying across time zones or staying closer to home, these are the exact non-negotiables I pack every time.
Because healing doesn’t pause just because I’m on holiday.
1. Silk Pillow = Skin Insurance
This comes everywhere with me. A silk pillow keeps my skin hydrated, supports deep sleep, and helps reduce fine lines while I snooze. It’s luxurious and preventative. The dream combo.
2. Avoid Plane Food
Airplane meals? Absolutely not. They’re full of chemically treated salt and preservatives that leave me puffy and bloated. I always eat beforehand, grab something nourishing at the airport, or bring my own snacks. It tastes better and keeps my gut happy.
3. Silk Eye Mask for Better Sleep
Sleep is sacred – especially when I’m travelling. I always bring my silk eye mask to block light and help me drift off. Plus, it feels so soft on my skin. Beauty sleep: secured.
4. Affirmation Cards + Habit Stacking
I never travel without my affirmation cards. I stack my affirmations with my skincare ritual – so every time I apply, I affirm. It’s powerful because repetition makes it stick. This little habit keeps my mind and my skin in alignment, no matter where I am. If I can’t get to a spa, I recreate the vibe. A hot bath followed by a cold shower works wonders for inflammation, nervous system regulation, and post-flight heaviness. It’s one of my favourite travel rituals.
8. Compression Socks = Underrated Hack
These help support lymphatic drainage and stop my legs from feeling heavy or swollen after flying. Not the sexiest thing in my suitcase – but so worth it.
9. Magnesium Sleepy Butter = Nightly Ritual
