What is Psycho-dermatology?
Psycho-dermatology is the study of how the mind and skin interact. It explores the connection between psychological well-being and skin health, recognizing that emotional stress, anxiety, and other psychological factors can trigger or worsen skin conditions. We have many neural receptors in our skin that links to our dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin production. This field combines dermatology with psychology to treat skin issues through both physical and mental approaches.
