WHY AM I ALWAYS BLOATED EVEN WHEN I EAT HEALTHY?
- by Roxy Marrone

You swapped the fast food for smoothies.
You’re drinking more water.
You’re working out.
Trying to be “good.”
But your stomach still feels swollen. Your face still looks puffy. Your body still feels heavy.
And honestly? It’s frustrating.
I TOTALLY understand you because I’ve been there. At one point, I had 12 allergies and felt bloated and reactive to almost everything I ate, but I could never find the help to fix it.
So I went deep into expert training in hormone, gut, nutrition, and nervous system healing and started applying it to my life, and now, bloating feels unusual vs constant.
I’m sharing all my nutrition secrets and hacks to beat bloating:

But often, bloating is connected to:
Meaning:
You can eat “clean” and still feel inflamed. It’s not just your food, and it’s not just your nervous system - it’s EVERYTHING. Everything is connected.
Here are my non-negotiable holistic bloating hacks that got rid of my bloating for good:

1. Regular at-home lymphatic drainage massages with my De-Bloat Duo: supporting the body’s natural detox and drainage pathways so fluid, waste, and inflammation don’t build up.The lymphatic system processes 8–12 litres of fluid daily and helps clear excess water, toxins, and metabolic waste.
When flow slows:
We expertly formulated the duo with herbs like Dandelion, Fennel, Chlrophyll and Cleavers to flush, drain and sculpt inside and out. Watch my tutorial here for a full lymphatic drainage massage

2. Dandelion Root Tea: Supports the detoxification of your hormones through the liver, helping flush out any excess water or toxins.
3. 2-3 litres of water a day: Initially, you'll feel bloated, but again this helps flush all the excess water out. Your lymphatic system needs water to move efficiently.
4. Taking walks after meals: Especially after dinner this is one of my favourite mediations to do. Just 2 minutes of walking after eating can help blood sugar, studies say. That’s because movement helps clear sugars from the bloodstream. I like to do anywhere from 10-30 mins and habit stack it with my I AM CALM guided breathwork and meditation guided by me (Roxy) but theres no right or wrong amount. Do what works for you and your schedule!
5. Add in lymph supporting herbs and foods:
Ingredients like:
are traditionally used to support drainage and digestion.
You can find these ingredients in our De-bloat Lymphatic Drops

6. Take regular deep breaths, especially when eating: We can only digest when we are in our relaxed response. When your body is stuck in fight-or-flight, bloating often worsens. So ensure you're getting enough deep gut breaths in throughout the day/around meal times. Get extra support with gut calming herbs like Chamomile and adaptogens like Ashwagandha and Holy Basil all found in our No Stress Drops
7. Prioritise time to eat: The idea of a 'snack on the go" is not ideal for people prone to bloating. Set aside at least 30 minutes to sit and enjoy your meal without distractions.
8. Pray and give thanks for your meal: Making your meal into a gratitude mediation will help you digest 10x better!!! Expressing sincere gratitude has been linked to lower levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, promoting a healthy gut environment and modulating microbial diversity.
9. Chew until mushy: Digestion starts in your mouth! When was the last time you actually chewed your food slowly instead of inhaling it? Our society has programmed us to be in a rush constantly, but our gut hates this. Aim to chew till mushy.
10. Probiotics + Digestive Enzymes: Proper supplementation will take your gut healing journey to the next level. Here are my favourite probiotics + enzymes. I love this one to help digest gluten, dairy and high FODMAP foods.
11. Eat whole foods over processed foods: Even things that look "clean" can be packed with gut disrupting ingredients. The less ingredients on a label, the better.
12. Get GOOD sleep every night (7-9 hours) and support your glymphatic system: Your glymphatic system (brain detox pathway) works heavily during deep sleep.
Poor sleep = poor recovery = more inflammation and puffiness aka MORE bloating.
Things like magnesium can help you sleep more restfully. Which can be found in our Glymphatic Magnesium Sleepy Butter.
