Imagine ordering a smoothie and watching someone cut some of the greens going into it straight from the wall.

That's the idea.

Our Hydroponic Café brings functional nutrition and hydroponic growing together in the same space.

Some of the herbs and greens we use are grown hydroponically right there in the room, creating a more visible connection between what you're eating and where it actually comes from.

But there was a much more personal reason I wanted to build it.

Eating out stopped being enjoyable for me

During my own healing journey, there was a point where I was dealing with multiple food sensitivities.

Eating out, something that should have been enjoyable, became exhausting.

I was constantly asking what was in everything, checking ingredients or trying to work out what I could change on the menu.

And half the time, I'd end up creating my own strange concoction from a collection of sides.

It forced me to become creative with food.

Instead of only asking:

"What can't I eat?"

I started asking:

"What can I add to this meal to support how I want to feel?"

That small shift completely changed the way I approached nutrition.

What if food could be functional AND genuinely delicious?

I became fascinated by ingredients and what they could bring to a recipe beyond simply tasting good.

Could we add protein?

Could we bring in polyphenol-rich ingredients?

Could we use herbs, spices and plants in unexpected ways?

Could something support your wellness goals and be the thing you genuinely look forward to ordering?

Because I never wanted eyeam's approach to nutrition to feel like restriction.

I wanted the opposite.

Abundance. Colour. Flavour. Curiosity.

That question eventually became the foundation of the Hydroponic Café.

A menu designed around how you want to feel

Rather than creating a traditional café menu and adding a few "healthy" options, we started with the eyeam philosophy.

Everything is a tool. Choose your outcome.

Our menu brings together functional smoothies, wellness shots, protein-rich bowls, matcha, coffee, snacks and fresh tea infusions, using carefully sourced ingredients alongside some greens and herbs grown hydroponically in the room.

So you might come in for a Saffron Matcha.

Or try our High-Polyphenol Olive Oil Matcha.

After a workout, you might reach for a Peptide Smoothie or High-Protein Yoghurt Bowl.

Or maybe it's a Lymphatic Hydration Smoothie, Good Mood Cacao Protein Mousse or one of our wellness shots.

And growing in the room you'll find ingredients including mint, holy basil, kale, spinach and lemon balm, ready to make their way into different drinks and recipes.

Why hydroponics?

For us, the hydroponic wall isn't there just because it looks beautiful.

It represents something I wanted the whole café to stand for:

getting closer to our food again.

We're so used to food arriving packaged, processed or completely disconnected from where it started.

Here, you can literally see some of it growing around you.

There's something really special about watching an ingredient go from a living plant on the wall to part of what you're about to eat or drink.

It turns the café into part kitchen, part garden and part wellness experience.

Wellness food should still feel like food

This is probably the most important part for me.

I don't want you to come to the Hydroponic Café because you feel like you should order the healthy thing.

I want you to come because the saffron matcha tastes amazing.

Because you're craving the cacao mousse.

Because you want to sit with a friend after a Bio-Workout and have a smoothie.

Because supporting yourself doesn't always need to feel clinical or complicated.

Sometimes it can be sitting in a café, eating something delicious and knowing there was intention behind the ingredients.

My own health journey taught me a lot about what I was eating.

But it also taught me that food is more than its nutritional breakdown.

It's pleasure. It's connection. It's ritual.

And I wanted all three to have a place at eyeam world.

Food shouldn't feel like another restriction.

It should be one of the most enjoyable ways you support yourself.
